The ideal sales outlet is a highly important medium, being the place closest to the decision-making moment for a purchase. Through the use of stands, intelligent trolleys and multimedia screens, Epipoli transforms the sales outlet into an interactive medium.
Research on purchasing behaviour in sales outlets has highlighted the importance of effective sensorial stimulation of the clients.
Epipoli has patented Gordio™, the first European project for tracing the consumer’s path in the store and develop micromarketing programs.
Gordio™ is a system for managing marketing activities which activates personalised promotions in the store, conversing with clients and proposing personalised offers based on the path that the consumer follows.

Sinfos Electronic Catalogue
In 2005, Indicod-ECR pointed out the value of the Electronic Catalogue, defining it as one of the fundamental points of development strategy in the Retailer-Supplier relationship.
The most important European Electronic Catalogue platform comes from Germany and was implemented over 12 years ago by CCG, now GS1, and was a collaboration by a joint work team of retailers and suppliers.
SINFOS chose Epipoli in Italy to develop the " SINFOS item master data service," signing a strategic partnership.
SINFOS allows retailers and suppliers to effectively manage the data bases of product characteristics and to classify markets according to desired standards. It is a fundamental tool for Logistics Management, Category Managers, Sales and Marketing, which, in this way, can share all the information relative to each single product code in real time.
What makes the SINFOS platform special is that it manages functions and processes according to international standards. The "SINFOS item master data" portal is currently used by over 1800 companies in Austria, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain, and it allows for the positioning of item master data beyond national borders, in accordance with the GCI (Global Commerce Initiative) requisites for interoperability.
Alvaro Fusetti, Indicod GS1 CEO, commented positively on the arrival in Italy of SINFOS, one of the data pools already certified on the international level by the Global Registry. |
